Kelsey is a visual storyteller based in Los Angeles and China. She has a great passion to capture time, space, and memory through visual language. Kelsey finished her first feature film in 2021, the film depicts a lonely woman in the middle of leaving the place she has lived for years, Los Angeles, to marry her husband in China. During the last day before she leaves, she drifts in the roads of the city, trying to find a home for her last painting. It is still in the process of post-production, but will come out soon.

Kelsey also gained her MFA degree in Cinematography at Chapman University in 2020. Her thesis film was nominated for Best cinematography in ASC Heritage program. Her mentors Johnny Jensen, ASC and Bill Dill, ASC helped her equip a peace of mind as a director of photography. She understands deeply that a great cinematographer can not only create beautiful images, but most importantly who can get a hold of the deep meaning behind the story and find a way to capture it with a heart and soul behind the lens.

Kelsey considers herself as a minimalist in terms of visual style. It is often a less-is-more case when it comes to visual components. Simple lines or shapes, and minimal light source can often create visually stunning mise-en-scene. Supporting simplicity is a complex job, but if it's achieved it could be more than satisfying.
